Chairman of BPII Organisation and the
President of Montessorian World International, Dr AT Ong shared his experiences
and thoughts on the social impetus / causes for the globalisation of Montessorian Education . He presented his international framework for cooperation and the advancement of a global education for both children and adults. |

Dialogue Sessions were separately held with the council members of Indian Montessori Center (IMC) and various interest groups of principals and education service prooviders. The interactive sessions provided an useful understanding of the works of Montessori in India. |

Indian Montessori Centre hosted the Montessorian
World International Conference 2009, Bangalore, India on the 22nd November 2009.
Our Guest of Honour Mrs Meenakshi Sirvaramakrishnan was honoured with a Honorary CMEd Award in a Ceremony. .
Ms. Meenakshi Sivaramakrishnan is a distinguished educator and has been ceaselessly working at promoting the Montessori method of education in India for the past four decades. She is an acclaimed authority on the Montessori method, and does not believe in diluting the Montessori philosophy in any manner. The courses she conducts strictly adhere to the Montessori principles. Her commitment to the Montessori ideology is total. She has trained hundreds of Montessori adults over the years. In fact many of her students have established Montessori Houses of Children which are spread all over the country. Meenakshi graduated with a BA from the prestigious Benares Hindu University. She obtained the AMI Diploma (primary) and the AMI Trainers Certificate from the Association Montessori Internationale, Amsterdam, Holland.
