The courses are structured as serialized learning modules of Becoming Montessorian with intermittent competency based award. All Educational Courses & Professional Development programmes on successful completion lead to appropriate Competency Level (CL) Award by Montessorian World International.

    Courses /Awards :  
    Competency Award is issued on successful completion of all designated modules of study in each Competency-Level and as recognized membership entry to Montessorian World.
    Participants with other equivalent Montessori qualifications at CL-1 and CL-III from other approved Montessori teaching institutions or learning establishments may be considered for entry into CL-IV for this pathway education and/or apply for a formal Competence Assessment in their study level for Montessorian Award into the CMEd Fellowship.
   
    Members who have attained a minimum Study Competency Level (III) may apply for the Montessorian Professional Leadership & Internship under the CMEd : Certified Montessorian Educator program @ Competency Level - IV & V.

Delivery Format and Assessment
    Introduction :  

Montessorian World International offers the above courses for self improvement and professional development. It is intended for parents and those who wish to learn Montessori Teaching Methods and its significant application. It is tailored especially for past or existing teachers and administrators or other professionals who now wish to aspire to be an Educator at Montessorian World. It is a membership program, which may be completed via guided distance education mode of studies. Home study pack and online support are provided.

Montessorian World Education accredited lectures/seminar series, block teaching seminars / workshops and a 6-day intensive Montessorian Practice Workshops including Assessment of Montessorian Competency are conducted regularly in selected major city locations.

Programs of study are organized in flexible learning mode so as to maximize convenience and accessibility for students to study anywhere and without the necessary of giving up work, or leaving home for an extended period of time. Students may enroll in any module of the program for personal development and enrichment, without being required to enroll in the full program.

Students who are enrolled in other approved Montessori training centres and/or had completed a course of approved study may apply for Direct Assessment of Montessorian Competency.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   


Mode of study, facilitation and list of resources:


A comprehensive Study Manual for the study of Montessori philosophy, theory and practice in Montessorian Education. Home Study Pack will be provided for those registered under distance education program.

Students who registered as part guided distance students can attend classes / seminars covering each area of study as scheduled throughout the year at their nearest home location. See Seminar Schedule.

For those enrolled in the full distance education mode of study, online mentoring support will be provided by Accredited Montessorian Trainers / Certified Montessorian Educators who can answer questions, and offer directed learning and practical helps at allocated hours.

Montessorian World Education's Workshops are organized periodically at Montessorian World Country / Education host locations or Montessorian World's approved Training Centres. These Workshops comprise of face to face curriculum classes that provide demonstrations of all lessons, student practice, and making of teaching materials. See Workshop Schedule.

Upon satisfactory completion of all curriculum classes and Home Study in the course which students are enrolled in, students may apply to take the written, oral and practical examination. Montessorian World International will allocate the Examiners to assess the competency level and the issuance of Certification thereon for successful participants.

Study Pack and Attendance at Workshop/Seminar are payable on registration. The Assessment fee is payable three months before the Examination Period.

Generally for Competency Level I to III, the examination consists of three parts,
a) a two hours written examination on Montessori Theory and methodology, b) a comprehensive oral examination requiring precise presentation and use of the teaching materials, and c) the completion and presentation of required handmade curriculum materials. The scope and the expectation for each Competence Level are detailed in the Education Manual.


Assessment of Competency and Membership Certification

The Assessment Format is designed to determine the Competency Level of skills, knowledge and aptitude of the applicant. There are five main categories of Competence Assessment and Award.

Those successfully completed an approved course from other local learning institutions may apply for a formal assessment of Montessorian Competency Level for Certificate Award and as Membership Entry into Montessorian World Education and Fellowship program.

All applicants will be considered on a case by case basis and are required to complete a Continual Montessorian Professional Development program, submission of a practice workfile and or an oral presentation in the assessment process.

Practicum and Internship
As a form of internship program for potential teachers, teaching practicum can be arranged at one of the Montessorian World International's Certified / Affiliation Partners' schools. This program provides students the opportunity to observe children and trained teachers at work. Guided training and supervision from the school director and daily discussions. Trainers' Practium is separately designed for obervation of delivery skills and practices of effective training. Feedback will be provided.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
       
    Notes for enrollment :
* All programs are delivered primarily for continual professional development & personal enrichment and as membership program into Montessorian World International. * Credits obtained from each modular study unit can be accumulated for award of an appropriate Montessorian World International's Competency Certificate Award and as a route to be a CMEd, Certified Montessorian Educator. * Programs and their delivery mode may slightly vary in different countries.

* As an international organisation, we recognise localised based qualifcation into our Global Education Pathway Membership system. Our Country-specific Education Hosts assist in the local accreditation process. Those with equivalent qualification obtained from a locally authorized institution of learning can apply to Montessorian World for formal Assessment of Competency and to recieve an equivalent Membership Certificate award.
